FACINGS AND VAPOR BARRIERS
Application:
Facings such as insulation facing, fsk facing or reflective fsk, and fsk vapor barriers are designed to add heat rays reflection and vapor retarding properties to the conventional fiberglass, rockwool or foam insulation. Can be used as a facing for the duct wrap, fibrous or foam board.
RADIANT BARRIER AND VAPOR BARRIER
Application:
Radiant barrier is used as a main part of reflective insulation system. Radiant barrier (also known as foil insulation, insulation barrier, vapour barrier, or radiant insulation) is typically installed under the roof , below the floor or inside the wall in conjunction with the air spaces to control heat gain or heat loss. For more information for the radiant barrier, foil insulation, and reflective insulation see RIMA Handbook.
FIBERGLASS TISSUE FACING
Application:
Thin non woven fiberglass panel, fiberglass mat or fiberglass sheet made out of thin inorganic glass fibers bonded by adhesive. These non woven fiberglass sheets are used as insulation facing of fiberglass materials for duct and pipe protection. Fiberglass mat (tissue) can be applied as acoustic lining of rigid fibrous duct boards, or as reinforcement membrane in waterproofing.
